Hangover IV therapy: what it is, and what it isn't

5 September 2026 · 1 min read · Care at Home by DrypSkin · Medically reviewed by Dr Khan

A hangover is largely about dehydration, lost electrolytes and inflammation. That is why an intravenous approach is popular with people who need to recover quickly.

What is in a hangover drip?

Our formulation combines:

  • Balanced saline to rehydrate
  • An electrolyte blend to restore mineral balance
  • B-complex vitamins and vitamin C
  • An anti-inflammatory medication

Why intravenous?

When you feel unwell, drinking enough fluid can be difficult. An IV delivers hydration and nutrients directly, without depending on your stomach.

What it isn't

A drip supports your recovery. It does not remove alcohol from your system faster than your body can, and it is not a licence to overindulge. Rest, food and moderation still matter.

How long does it take?

Around 30 to 60 minutes, at home or in your hotel.

If you would like to arrange a visit, message us and we will take care of the rest.
