What are Salmon DNA and PRP treatments?

Salmon DNA and PRP are two different, complementary regenerative techniques, often offered together depending on your goals. Salmon DNA (polynucleotide, or PN) therapy uses purified DNA fragments derived from salmon, which are biocompatible with human tissue, to hydrate skin and support tissue repair. PRP, platelet-rich plasma, is prepared from a small sample of your own blood, concentrated for its growth-factor-rich platelets, then re-injected to stimulate collagen production. Both are offered as regenerative, recovery-focused treatments rather than a cure for any condition.

What does the evidence say?

PRP has been studied for skin and hair with varying results depending on the use, and polynucleotide (salmon DNA) treatments are an area of ongoing research. Results vary by person, and a course of sessions is commonly suggested. Your clinician will discuss realistic expectations before you start.

Fish allergy

Salmon DNA is derived from salmon. Tell your clinician about any fish or seafood allergy, as it may mean this treatment is not suitable for you. PRP is prepared from your own blood and does not contain salmon-derived material.

What it may support

  • Skin hydration, elasticity and a more refreshed appearance
  • Support for thinning hair and scalp health
  • A calmer, more even skin tone
  • General tissue repair and renewal

Why Care at Home

  • Administered by DHA licensed healthcare professionals
  • A consultation first to confirm the right technique for you
  • Salmon DNA sourced from quality-controlled, lab-tested products; PRP prepared from your own blood

How a session works

Your clinician first reviews your health history and goals. For PRP, a small blood sample is drawn and processed to separate the platelet-rich plasma; for salmon DNA, a prepared polynucleotide solution is used directly. The chosen solution is then injected into the treatment area, whether skin or scalp. A session typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, and most people return to normal activities the same day. A short course of sessions is often recommended for best results.

Who may not be suitable

Regenerative treatments are not right for everyone. Your clinician will ask about your medical history, medications and allergies before any treatment, and may advise against it, or ask for further tests, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active infection, have a current or previous cancer diagnosis, or have an immune-related condition. If you bruise easily or take blood-thinning medication, tell your clinician before PRP. This list is not exhaustive, and the final decision is always made by your clinician.

Salmon DNA and PRP treatments are priced after a short consultation, since the technique and number of sessions are tailored to you. Message us and we will guide you through pricing and suitability.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Salmon DNA and PRP?

Salmon DNA (polynucleotide) therapy uses purified DNA fragments from salmon to hydrate skin and support tissue repair, while PRP uses platelets concentrated from your own blood to stimulate collagen. Both are regenerative techniques, and your clinician can advise which one, or whether a combination, suits your goals.

Is it safe?

Both are generally well tolerated when administered by a licensed professional after a health review. Mild redness, swelling or bruising at the injection site is possible and usually settles within a few days.

What can it treat?

These techniques are commonly used for facial skin rejuvenation, under-eye hydration, and scalp treatments to support hair density.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your goals. A short course, often around three to four sessions, is commonly recommended, and your clinician will tailor a plan at your consultation.

How much does it cost?

Salmon DNA and PRP treatments are priced after a consultation, since the technique and number of sessions are individual to you. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm pricing.

Is this regulated?

Can I have salmon DNA or PRP treatment at home in Dubai?

Your clinician first reviews your health history to confirm the treatment is suitable. See the full list of areas on our areas page, or message us on WhatsApp to confirm yours.

Can I have salmon DNA treatment if I have a fish allergy?

Salmon DNA is derived from salmon, so tell your clinician about any fish or seafood allergy. It may mean this treatment is not suitable for you. PRP is prepared from your own blood instead.

How is PRP prepared?

A small blood sample is drawn and processed to separate the platelet-rich plasma, which your clinician then injects into the treatment area. It uses your own blood.

What does the evidence say?

PRP has been studied for skin and hair with varying results depending on the use, and polynucleotide treatments are an area of ongoing research. Results vary by person.
