IV therapy has gone from a hospital-only treatment to something you can book on WhatsApp for your living room, which means the marketing around it has outpaced the plain explanation of what it actually is. Here's the version without the gloss.
What's actually in the bag
A typical drip starts with a sterile saline or similar fluid base, the same kind of fluid used in hospitals for rehydration. Vitamins, minerals, amino acids or other additives are then mixed in depending on the formula, whether that's B-complex and vitamin C for a general wellness drip, glutathione for its antioxidant properties, or NAD+ for cellular metabolism support. The fluid itself does real work too: a hangover, a long flight or a hot day in Dubai can leave you meaningfully dehydrated, and fluid delivered straight into a vein rehydrates faster than drinking water alone.
How a session actually works
A DHA licensed nurse or doctor sterilises your arm, places a small cannula (you'll feel a brief pinch), and connects the prepared bag. Most bags run for 30 to 60 minutes, though some, like NAD+, are infused more slowly and take longer. You can sit, work or rest during that time. Afterwards the cannula comes out and you carry on with your day.
Express vs specialised, in plain terms
On our menu, express drips are shorter, simpler formulas starting from AED 290, built for straightforward goals like hydration or a quick energy boost. Specialised drips use more involved formulas, cost more, and come with a free home visit, a free vitamin and mineral analysis, and free oxygen therapy included. Both tiers get cheaper per session if you book a package of 2 or 5 (25% and 35% off respectively).
How to actually choose one
Think in terms of the problem you're solving rather than the most dramatic name on the menu. Dehydrated or hungover: a hydration-focused express drip. Run down or fighting something off: an immunity-leaning formula. Chasing a longer-term goal like energy or cellular health: a specialised drip, ideally after a quick chat with us so the choice fits your actual health history. If you're not sure, our Find My Drip guide on the homepage, or a two-minute WhatsApp message, will get you there faster than reading every description on the menu.
