Hydrafacial has become a shorthand for "a good facial", but it is actually a specific, multi-step process. Here is what happens during a session, and how the four levels we offer at home differ.
What is a Hydrafacial?
Hydrafacial combines hydradermabrasion, a chemical peel, extraction and hydrating serums in one non-invasive treatment. It cleanses, exfoliates, extracts impurities and infuses the skin with nourishing serums, addressing congested pores, uneven texture, fine lines and hyperpigmentation. It suits all skin types.
The six steps of a session
- Cleanse and exfoliate — dead skin cells and impurities are gently removed.
- Extraction — painless suction removes blackheads and impurities.
- Acid peel — a mild peel loosens debris and unclogs pores.
- Hydrate and infuse — serums with antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid.
- LED therapy — light wavelengths target specific concerns.
- Protect — moisturiser and sunscreen finish the treatment.
Choosing your level
- Silver (30 min) — thorough cleansing, mild exfoliation, effortless extraction and a burst of hydration. A quick option for any skin type.
- Gold (45 min) — personalised and revitalising, with an acid peel, Vortex-Fusion and LED light therapy, for fine lines, acne, hyperpigmentation and congested pores.
- Diamond (60 min) — a 15-step session that adds lymphatic drainage for detoxification and deeper hydration, good for congested, acne-prone or ageing skin.
- Envoy (80 min) — our most luxurious option, with lymphatic drainage, gentle extraction and deep nourishment from specialised serums.
What results can you expect?
Most people see visible results after a single treatment: a more vibrant look, smoother skin and reduced blemishes. It is gentle and non-invasive, and most people find it relaxing rather than uncomfortable. To maintain results, a session every 4 to 6 weeks is generally recommended.
