Food intolerance testing at home: Food Print vs the 208-food panel

12 August 2026 · 1 min read · Care at Home by DrypSkin · Medically reviewed by Dr Khan

Feeling consistently bloated or off after eating is common, and it is not always obvious which food is behind it. Food intolerance testing is one way to narrow that down.

Intolerance versus allergy

Food intolerance is an abnormal body reaction to a specific food, which can show up as one or two symptoms occasionally or as an ongoing issue. Unlike a true food allergy, which involves the immune system and can be severe, an intolerance typically affects the digestive system with less severe symptoms.

Symptoms worth considering a test for

  • Abdominal discomfort
  • Diarrhoea
  • Bloating
  • Headaches or migraines
  • Heartburn
  • Nausea or stomach ache

Food Print or the 208-food panel?

Both of our tests (AED 2,500 each) are IgG food-specific antibody tests, collected at home at your preferred time.

  • Food Print is the first step in working out which foods may be causing an abnormal response — a good starting point if you have not tested before.
  • Food and drink panel tests 208 individual foods and drinks for IgG antibodies, giving a broader picture in one pass if you want full coverage from the start.

What to do with the results

A positive IgG result flags foods worth discussing with a clinician, not an automatic diagnosis or a list to eliminate on your own. Your provider can help you interpret the results against your symptoms and plan any changes sensibly.
